Stibnite
These samples of stibnite are displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Stibnite is a sulfide mineral of antimony. It has the composition Sb 2 S 3 (OH) or Sb 2 S 3. The left sample is about 4x25 cm and is from Ichinokawa mine, Ehime, Japan. Stibnite is mined as a source of antimony. The mines at Ehime were depleted in the 1890s.
