Mechanism of Bone Mineralization

The mixing of concentrated solutions of calcium chloride and sodium acid phosphate resulted in the precipitation of calcium phosphate salts, which showed a broad and diffused pattern by X-ray diffraction analysis. This pattern suggested that the precipitated mineral is amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP), not apatite.
